Bill's 8 Mile Challenge
We are doing another challenge swim. Last December 31st, over 10 swimmers completed the 100 x 100 challenge at American University. It is hard to exaggerate the feeling of accomplishment we all felt even in the attempt.
We are setting our sights a bit higher this time. For our summer challenge swim we are going to attempt to reach the 8 mile mark. We will attempt this feat in the form of 120 x 100 Meters in a long-course setting.
The research shows that the things we do in life about which we are most proud are the things that are hard to accomplish. Make no mistake; this is going to be hard. We will attempt this in a supportive and team oriented setting. We would like for as many people as possible to join us.
Our current planned date is June 26th starting at 6:00 AM at Old Keene Mill pool (9534 Orion Ct, Burke, VA). The entry fee will be $12 for CUBU masters and $20 for non-CUBU. If you are interested please let us know as we are trying to estimate the number of participants.
We will have food and drink to help get you through. We are tentatively planning a cookout afterwards.
